If, God forbid something was to happen to you on this journey, what does your family need to be searching for most importantly that you need them to find?

I think I’d have to say two things.

1. My phone (I had to work too hard to get that damn thing back!). It has all my latest notes and jottings, along with all my latest photos. I think if something happened to me those are the things I would want them to see, as they were the last thoughts and visions that I experienced. As hard as it would be, I’d hope that would provide a little comfort for them.

2. A silver bracelet I was given for my birthday. It’s a piece I’d fell in love with months before at my silver guy, Allah’s, shop while living in Chiang Mai. But, since I’d hung up my silver-dealing boots for the time being (and it was out of my price range) I’d completely forgotten about it. Only to have Ashlie totally catch me off guard during our trek and surprise me with it on my birthday (a little sweetheart redemption after the photo of me on the throne that went out to our family and friends). My family knows how I am with jewelry, especially silver, once I put it on I don’t take it off. And for them to be able to recover and keepsake this bracelet, that would mean a lot to me.

Thanks for the question, Cindy!  -Adrian
