Is it really as amazing as it seems?
The short answer is Yes!
But, if we’ve given you the impression that everything is always wonderful then I owe you an apology because that is just not the case. It’s not really amazing to be violently vomiting while simultaneously having diarrhea (I know, disgusting! I didn’t even realize this was possible) due to who knows what kind of bacteria you picked up from dinner. Having what was supposed to be an eight hour bus trip turn into eleven is enough to try anyones patience. Getting lost, getting into a fight because you’re lost, getting ripped off or tricked, getting bed bugs … all things that really suck. But, at the end of the day, it’s all part of it and it’s totally worth it.
There have been plenty of times in the last year that I have been upset by the circumstances but not once (not even one single moment) have I wished I were somewhere else.
